Along with Prof. He Jinsheng, Prof. Li Chunjie from LZU and Prof. Ji Weihong from Messey University in New Zealand, Nan Zhibiao, chairman of academic committee of State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystems(SKLAGE), LZU made a survey of Haibei National Field Research Station of Alpine Grassland Ecosystem from June 10th to 11th. Researchers from Northwest Institute of Plateau Biology of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Cao Guangmin, head of Haibei Station received Nan’s team at the research station.
Nan’s team visited Haibei Station’s field observation facilities for the research on global climate change and adaptability management of alpine grassland. Meanwhile, they also made a thorough research on the control of warming-rainfall, inspection of vapor flux, simulated nitrogen deposition, grazing while warming and other long term monitoring platforms. Cao made a thoroughly introduction about the history, discipline position, research contents of Haibei Station and their major achievements. The whole team listened carefully and sought advice from Cao on the issues of the operation, maintenance, and management approaches of long term located monitoring platforms of Haibei Station. Later on, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the contents and ways of observation research in the cooperation between SKLAGE and Haibei Station.
