The unveiling ceremony of Center for Silk Road Art Research and International Exchange was held at LZU on July 6th, along with the work conference on a major project of social sciences. Pan Baotian, Vice-President of LZU attended the ceremony and issued letters of appointment for part-time professors. Pan Baotian and Huo Honghui, Party Secretary of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, jointly unveiled the plaque for the center. Many international and domestic experts and academics from University of Cambridge in England, Fu Jen Catholic University, Chinese National Academy of Arts, Renmin University of China, Shanghai University and Research Institute onthe art of Maiji Mountain Grottoes were involved in this activity.
Pan Baotian highly valued the extraordinary achievements gained by the project group of Sino-foreign artistic exchange on Silk Road. He stated that LZU has established the Research Center for the B&R, and would develop Silk Road civilization and social development in Northwest China as a key disciplinary area in the “Double First-Class”Program. He also said that LZU has given sufficient support for the Sino-foreign artistic exchange project, and LZU would developed subjects such as art and literature into a new height through major projects.
