Sandy McConachy from the University of Adelaide, Director of Global Research and Engagement for the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic), visited Cuiying Honors College (CHC) at LZU on Monday, 14th October, and talked with Executive Dean of CHC, Prof. Long about possible areas of partnership.
After a brief introduction to our college, we discussed potential opportunities and challenges for establishing “3+1” “2+2” and “3+2” partnership programs, joint summer schools, distance learning through video conferencing, as well as, staff and student exchanges. Recently, in August this year, our college sent a group of twelve students to Adelaide for English Language Training; Sandy emphasized the even longer relationship between our two universities. We enthusiastically discussed possibilities for an Academic English Program for the upcoming Chinese New Year vacation, which is actually the Australian Summer vacation.
After the meeting, Sandy signed our guest book and took a brief tour of the college facilities.
