Prof. Redouane Djamouri (CNRS, CRLAO) visited LZU and delivered a lecture on the sixth postgraduate academic annual conference on November 25th. The lecture was held by Prof. Min Chunfang, director of Institute of Chinese Language and Philology, and attracted the faculty and students from both Lanzhou University and Northwest Normal University.
The lecture is titled “Special Grammar Features of Hezhou Dialect—Verb-Object Integration”. He first briefly introduced the geographic location, population, and ethnic group distribution of Tang Wang, a place in Gansu Province, and then gave a detailed explanation of some special phenomena in the dialect. He focused on the OV linguistic feature, its corresponding background, and the difference from Mandarin.
In the lecture, he mainly elaborated the phenomenon of “verb-object integration”. At last, Prof. Redouane Djamouri answered the questions raised by the audience.
In the conclusion part, Prof. Min Chunfang stressed that Prof. Redouane Djamouri always studied the local language and verified concerned materials before doing corresponding research, which was a good example for all of us.
