Gao Jiaren, Chairman of the Board of Singapore Capital International (SCI), and Zhang Tianxiao, celebrated animation director, General Manager of Shanghai Fantasia Animation Ltd., also the leading figure of China’s animation, visited Lanzhou University on 22nd, September.
In the morning, Gao Jiaren and Zhang Tianxiao paid a visit to Institute of Dunhuang Studies and School of Information Science & Engineering with the accompany of Yuan Zhanting, LZU Party Secretary and An Lizhe, LZU vice-president. Zheng Binglin, Dean of History & Culture School, introduced to the distinguished guests the history of Dunhuang, the importance of Dunhuang in sino-foreign culture exchanges, the findings from Dunhuang documents and the values of Dunhuang grotto art.
In the afternoon, Zhang Tianxiao gave a lecture named “China’s Animation Creation under the International Perspective”. He reviewed his experience of university-enterprise cooperation, and shared his thoughts on the future of China’s animation industry in the next five years, namely how to transform the high-quality animation products into a brand. He also remarked that the new cultural brand would arise from China, and made a strong case for youth “rise up to the fine opportunities”.
Gao Jiaren exchanged ideas with students from School of Mangement in terms of finance and management. He elaborated the code of management by taking the success and popularization of Shenyang Circus brand. He also talked about that a university also needs management, and that the core of university management is talent management, while the core of talent management is the student management. With regards to finance, he shared with students his views on stock and stock market. Moreover, he also presented the experience and guidance to innovation and business startups of college students.
On that day, LZU Pres. Wang and vice-president Xu Shengcheng met Gao Jiaren and Zhang Tianxiao, and conferred to them the letters of appointment of LZU adjunct professors.
