Recently, the final of college and high school students’ Chinese speech contest was held in Confucius Institute at Free University of Tbilisi (CIFUT). There were many spectators at the contest, including Che Rushan, the Chinese director of Confucius Institute, Jibladze Marine, the foreign director of Confucius Institute, teachers and Chinese volunteers of Confucius Institute, teacher and student delegates, as well as many patriarches.
After rounds of selection, twelve contestants from Confucius Institutes and Chinese school entered the final ultimately. The middle school students' contest and the college students' contest were conducted separately. The contestants either spoke their bosom freely around the theme of “China and I”, or spoke glowingly of their experience of learning Chinese based on the practice of themselves, or talked about their unforgettable experiences when they were learning Chinese in China. Their emotional speeches won much applause.
