On September 28th, the delegation led by Professor Muhammad Ashraf, President of the University of Lahore (UOL), academician of The World Academy of Sciences, and former chairman of the Pakistan Science Foundation, visited Lanzhou University (LZU). Vice President Wang Wei met with guests at Chengguan Campus.
Wang Wei extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of LZU. He said that over the past decade, LZU has carried out a series of cooperation with UOL in agricultural ecology, and made great progress in talent cultivation, scientific collaboration and technology transfer. He stressed LZU always attaches great importance to the cooperation and exchanges with countries along the Belt and Road. And both sides have broad prospects and deep potential for further cooperation. He expected that both sides can continue to work together and carry out more in-depth and pragmatic cooperation in ecological environment, dryland agricultural technology as well as other fields.
Both sides also fully exchanged views and reached broad consensus on the development of academic subjects and scientific research.
During the visit, President Ashraf presented the certificate of honorary professor of UOL to Professor Xiong Youcai from the College of Ecology, LZU.
