The United States ambassador Max Baucus led an 11-people team to visit Lanzhou University (LZU) on April 21st. President Wang Cheng met them in the VIP room of Science Hall.
During the talk, president Wang introduced the current situation, history, academic advantage and international exchange of Lanzhou University to visitors. Furthermore, he expressed that Lanzhou University attached great importance to the cooperation between Lanzhou University and high-level universities of the United States. And he hoped that this visit could further improve collaborations and exchange with universities of the United States.
Baucus said the main purpose of this visit was to stimulate cooperation between universities and scientific institutes of United States and Lanzhou University. Moreover, the two parties exchanged views on scientific cooperation, talents cultivation and employments of students.
After the meeting, Max Baucus and his team visited Landa Wenku (exhibition hall of LZUers' publications).
