Lanzhou University（LZU） attended the final contest of Second National University Singing Competition held in Lingang Campus, Shanghai Maritime University on the afternoon of April 28th, together with Shaoyang University, Xihua University and Minjiang University. The four competitors all played their triumph cards, so as to present to audiences a stunning audio-visual feast. Finally, Lanzhou University ranked the fourth among all competitors and won the Award of Excellent Organization.
Before the contest started, led by university leaders, cheering team which were consisted of LZU students and teachers as well as some alumni from Guangzhou, Shanghai and Sichuan, came to the site to boost the morale of LZU team members.
LZU team, in the contest, performed its original songsDazzling Youth, and other songs like I Fly Therefore I Am and Running, all demonstrating LZU spirits.
After the contest, Liao Changyong, a celebrated baritone, also one of the judges of this competition, highly praised LZU. He noted, “among the competitors, I like Lanzhou University the most, and I was deeply impressed by the optimism illustrated by their performance and singing.”
