Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture announced the list of key laboratory of agriculture (station) of "13th Five-Year Project"(Agricultural Office (2016) No. 29). Key Laboratory for the Innovation of Pratacultural and Animal Husbandry of Ministry of Agriculture constructed by Lanzhou University was allowed to pilot run. Five professional labs under the key laboratories were built by Research Institute of Grassland of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research and Institute of Agricultural Resources and Agricultural Planning of Beijing , Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, and China Agricultural University respectively.
So far, the Ministry of Agriculture has established key laboratory system for 37 key disciplines, including 42 comprehensive key laboratories, 297 professional (regional) key laboratories and 269 experimental station for scientific observation.
