Machang Type Pottery of Majiayao Culture
The pot is 34.2cm in height and 13cm in diameter, round and bulging. There are also two symmetrical ears decorated on the abdomen. The body of the pot is red and black. The shoulders and abdomen are painted with symmetrical variants of Shenren and circles patterns. The “Shenren pattern”, which is also known as the “frog pattern”, is one of the symbols of Machang Type Pottery of Majiayao culture in dividing generations.
