The 15th Chinese Symposium on Photochemistry of Chinese Chemical Society was held at the auditorium in the student activity center of LZU from August 21 to 24. The symposium was jointly undertaken by LZU, Institute of Chemistry, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, and Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences Tong Zhenhe held the post of conference chairman and vice-president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Yang Guoqiang took charge of the organizing committee director. Many academicians, famous specialists, scholars and postgraduates in the field of China's optics participated in the symposium. Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences Tu Yongqiang attended the opening ceremony and vice-president Cao Hong of LZU made a speech on the ceremony.
Focusing on the frontier scientific questions on photochemistry research, the symposium conducted varied exchanges in rich forms such as plenary lecture, invited talk, oral presentation and poster exhibition. With over 600 participants in this year's symposium, it has received 321conference papers. During the symposium, 6 plenary lectures, 30 invited talks, 39 oral presentation and 140 wall exhibitions were arranged, and two "Chinese Photochemistry --- Perfectlight Outstanding Young Scientist Awards" winners and 10 "Excellent Posters of the 15th Chinese Symposium on Photochemistry " winners were issued honor certificates. The symposium was also supported by Beijing Perfectlight Science and Technology Company Limited and other ten participating enterprises and companies in relevant areas.
