The 8th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) themed as "build a better life & draw a great blueprint" was held by The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and Humanitarian Affairs Asia (HAA) in Thailand's United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok from August 2 to 6. Over 1000 teachers and students from 78 countries and regions gathered together to attend this symposium.
LZU, at the invitation, delegated Huo Da, teacher from School of Management of LZU to lead 11 students to participate in the Symposium so as to strengthen students' comprehensive skills, sharpen up their leadership ability, and cultivate their global vision through the international communication.
In order to give out LZU's voices on the world stage, they formulated their own perspectives on "eliminating poverty, water resources and sanitation, gender equity, climate change and quality education" before the conference and demonstrated the dynamics and intelligence of LZU's students to the world.
One participant of LZU concluded, "This is a meaningful gathering since everyone present here is full of hope for the future and they will constantly pursue their dreams." By this international communication, LZUers spoke for LZU, for China and for the youth.
