At the invitation of Prof. Nan Zhibiao and Prof. Li Chunjie of the School of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology (SPAST), LZU and the State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystems(SKLGAE), Dr. Richard Johnson and Dr. Wayne Simpson of New Zealand Grassland Agricultural Research Institute visited LZU from July 28, to August 3. They gave academic reports titled "The exploitation of Epichloë Endophytes for Agricultural Advances" and "Diversity of Epichloë in Gansu Province" respectively.
During their visit, they did research on the symbiont of the endogenous fungi of the grass in Lanzhou, Gansu Province and Nantong, Jiangsu Province. Teachers and postgraduates of Grass Protection Agency discussed and communicated with two Zelanian experts and summarized their cooperation condition in the past five years. They also reached a consensus on scientific research, talent cultivation and paper co-publishing, etc.
