On November 22, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) announced the list of newly elected academicians in 2023. LZU alumni Prof. Fang Xiaomin, Dr. Shen Xueshun, and Dr. Gao Xionghou, were among them.
Prof. Fang Xiaomin, doctoral supervisor and research fellow of Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research of CAS, was elected as new member of CAS. Dr. Shen Xueshun, deputy director of Center for Earth System Modelling and Prediction, China Meteorology Administration, and Dr. Gao Xionghou, Professor-level senior engineer and doctoral supervisor, Lanzhou Petrochemical Company, were elected as new members of CAE.
