Abstract:
Landslides pose a serious hazard to communities living in dynamic landscapes. To better understand how the earth moves we have investigated processes from the nano-scale to the mega-scale of our greatest mountain ranges. We use these observations to improve our knowledge of how earth materials become unstable and create safer communities.
