From July 6 to 14, Party Secretary of CPC Lanzhou University (LZU) Committee Ma Xiaojie led a delegation to visit Uzbekistan, Georgia and Kazakhstan.
In Uzbekistan, Party Secretary Ma Xiaojie attended and delivered a keynote speech at the symposium on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Confucius Institute co-hosted by LZU and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS).
The delegation visited TSUOS, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, and The University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Uzbekistan.
In Georgia, the delegation paid a visit to Mr.Zhou Qian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Georgia, First Deputy Minister Aleksandre Tsuladze, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Alte University as well as Huawei branch office in Georgia, and exchanged views on the promotion of education and scientific research cooperation with Georgia.
In Kazakhstan, the delegation visited Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) and attended the unveiling ceremony of the China-Kazakhstan Intelligent Agriculture Center jointly established by LZU and KazNARU. Mr.Jiang Wei, Consul General of China in Almaty also attended the ceremony. Party Secretary Ma Xiaojie and KazNARU Executive Rector P.Sh. Ibragimov cut the ribbon for the center.
During the visit to the Confucius Institute at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the delegation visited the photo exhibition of the Confucius Institute and had an exchange with Chinese and foreign directors as well as teaching staff.
