On August 15, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Lanzhou University (LZU) and Shandong University (SDU) was held at the Chengguan Campus. SDU Party Secretary Ren Youqun, President Li Shucai, Deputy Party Secretary Chen Hongwei, LZU Party Secretary Ma Xiaojie, President Yan Chunhua, Vice President Sha Yongzhong and Deputy Director of the Gansu Provincial Department of Education Bai Jiangping attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Ma Xiaojie.
Sha Yongzhong and Chen Hongwei signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. After the signing ceremony, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on regional and country studies, talent cultivating in minority languages, think tank construction, high-level talents cooperation as well as joint construction of laboratories.
SDU delegation also paid a visit to the LZU History Museum and the Management Center of the Scientific Observing Stations.
