100 LZUers Fulfill Voluntary Service of 2017 Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road

Organized by Youth League Committee of LZU, 100 LZUers from School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Cuiying College, School of Stomatology, and School of History and Culture, have participated in the volunteer service including guest reception, guest registering, communication and translation, visiting, and language service for Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road in the 2nd session of Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural  Expo from Sept. 15 to 21 in 2017.

During the service, the smile of volunteers at all posts conveyed the warmth of the Silk Road, which became the cultural tie for guest from home and abroad in communication. Besides, it represented good style and features of contemporary youth volunteers. By the end of conference, they have received 126 countries and international organizations, covering 265 media representatives, and over 300 foreign guests, the service time of which came up to over 6,000 hours in all.

Volunteers said, this cultural expo was not just an opportunity for them to improve self-abilities or temper their willpower, but also a platform for Chinese youth  presenting their spirits to the world.

It is reported that 2017 Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road has been the largest and the most representative and influential global media gala held by mainstream media in China in recent years, referring to the greatest number of participated countries and organizations, and foreign media.
