Recently, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), together with CASSES has released “Comprehensive Evaluation Report of Chinese Think Tank (2017) ”. As the report showed, 166 think tanks were selected into the list of “2017 Core Think Tank in Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese Think Tank”. With its excellent achievements in Think Tank’s building, the Center for Studies of Ethnic Minorities in Northwest China(CSEMNC) of Lanzhou University was selected as well.
In 2016, CASSES launched the programme of “Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese Think Tank on AMI Index System Research”, further deepening the comprehensive and objective evaluation of Chinese Think Tank. Outlined by “Evaluation of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences on AMI Index System Research”, this evaluation index system seeks to comprehensively analyze and evaluate the domestic Think Tank from the power of attraction, management, and impact through their working procedures.
In the past two years, applying significant strategic needs of China as direction of scientific research, Center for Studies of Ethnic Minorities in Northwest China of Lanzhou University has gained fruitful achievements concerning to “B&R” Initiative in researches on ethnic relation and development, frontier security of China, development in Tibetan Region, documents of Bonismo, Muslim in China, and Chinese northwest minority history, which plays a significant role in international cooperation and exchange. In 2016, Center for Studies of Ethnic Minorities in Northwest China of Lanzhou University was selected as one of the first source Think Tanks of Chinese Think Tank Index (CTTI).
