LZU Evidence-based Social Science Research Center established

On the afternoon of Jan. 4th, LZU Evidence-based Social Science Research Center founding conference was held in its meeting room. More than 50 teachers and students from relevant departments attended the meeting, including Sha Yongzhong, director of Social Sciences Department, teachers and students of Evidence-Based Medicine Center, and others from Law School, Economics School, School of Management, School of Public Health, School of Information Science and Engineering and School of Philosophy and Social Sciences.

The conference was presided over by Yang Kehu, the first director of LZU Evidence-based Social Science Research Center. Meanwhile, Sha Yongzhong unveiled the center.

After the awarding ceremony, Director Yang made a report on Evidence-based Social Science Research and Exploration in LZU. The report combed the context of the development of evidence-based social sciences and put forward that the center should give full play to the subject advantage and strong research power of LZU as a comprehensive university to create an international platform for exchanges. By virtue of this, it will strive to build LZU Evidence-based Social Science Research Center into an academic high ground that will exert great influence to the international community.

Subsequently,Director Yang put forward the first scientific research project-Demonstrating the Evidence-based Social Science Research Method. In the meeting, he fully listened to the opinions of experts in various disciplines and determined the task assignment for the first batch of four works, specifically deploying the outline of early started "Evidence-based Social Science Research Methodology: Systematic Evaluation and META Analysis", the task division and the progress requires.
