LZU ranks 15th in China in Nature Index 2018

In Jan. 2018, Nature Publishing Group released the Nature Index 2018 Tables (covering the time period from 1st Oct. 2016 to 30th Sept. 2017), showing that LZU ranked the 15th among all universities and colleges in China.

The Nature Index is a measurement that calculate the high-level paper outputs of research institutes, universities and colleges, and  industrial organizations in all regions and countries around the world, and evaluates the performance of all organizations in four core disciplinary domains, including chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, life science, and physical science.

The data shows that LZU has published 149 papers in 68 journals identified by the Nature Index, contributing to a WFC (weighted fractional count) value of 90.20. Hence, LZU ranked the 105th globally, the 92nd among all universities and colleges in the world, the 27th among all universities and colleges in the Asia-Pacific region, and the 15th among all universities and colleges in China.

In Chemistry domain, LZU has published 98 papers in 68 journals, with a WFC value of 63.47. This makes LZU the 55th in the world, the 47th among all universities and colleges around the world, the 23rd among all universities and colleges in the Asia-Pacific region, and the 17th among all universities and colleges in China.

With regard to the earth and environmental sciences, LZU has published 15 papers in 68 journals, and the WFC value is 8.84. Therefore, LZU ranked the 90th globally, the 67th among the universities and colleges in the world, the 15th among all universities and colleges in the Asia-Pacific region, and the 9th among all universities and colleges in China.

In the field of life science, LZU has published 6 papers in 68 journals, indicating a WFC value of 2.68. In this field, LZU is ranked 495th among all universities and colleges around the world, the 109th among all universities and colleges in the Asia-Pacific region, and the 47th among all universities and colleges all over China.

In terms of physical science, LZU has published 37 papers in 68 journals. Hence, the WFC value is 16.40, making LZU the 234th globally, the 195th among all universities and colleges in the world, the 53rd among all universities and colleges in the Asia-Pacific region, and the 25th among all universities and colleges in China.
