Practical Base for LZU Students Co-built by Lanzhou Chemical Research Center of PetroChina

On Jan. 9th, LZU and Lanzhou Chemical Research Center of China Petroleum signed the agreement to jointly build a practice base for LZU graduate students of materials engineering.  The opening ceremony was held in Lanzhou Chemical Research Center of PetroChina. Luo Honggang, Dean of the School of Physical Science and Technology of LZU, and Gong Guangbi, director of the Lanzhou Chemical Research Center of PetroChina, signed a cooperation agreement and jointly inaugurated the practice base. The signing and opening ceremony was chaired by Liu Chaowei, deputy director of the Lanzhou Chemical Research Center.

Luo Honggang said that the research center would make use of advanced facilities in scientific research and recruit high-level scientific research teams to train high-end applied engineering talents in China's petrochemical industry. At the same time, he thanked the Lanzhou Chemical Research Center of PetroChina for its long-time support for the School of Physical Science and Technology.

Gong Guangbi said that the center would guide the graduate students in strict accordance with the LZU basic requirements in the outside school practice, and create a good learning and living environment for them. He also hoped to carry out in-depth exchanges with the School of Physical Science and Technology to make advance reserves for the research of petrochemical technology.

In the signing and opening ceremony, the two sides discussed ways to enhance the cooperation and communication between the center and the School of Physics. Then, Luo Honggang visited the laboratories of the oil refining, chemistry and polyolefin institute at the Lanzhou chemical center, as well as the cafeteria and staff activity center.
