The 9th Assembly of Chinese Association for Nationality History(CANH) & the 20th Academic Seminar was held by CANH and Guizhou Normal University on Oct. 28th, 2017. Scholars and experts from over fifty universities and scientific research units including Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing Normal University, Nanjing University and Lanzhou University attended this meeting. Prof. Yang Wenjiong was elected to Vice Chairman of CANH on this assembly.
Prof. Wang Xilong of LZU had been Vice Chairman of CANH for the 6th, 7th and 8th Session. The 21st Academic Seminar of CANH will be held in the Center For studies of Ethnic Minorities in Northwest China of LZU on Jun. 15th, 2018, the theme of which is “innovation and development of Chinese nationality history in New Era”.
Founded in 1983, Chinese Association for Nationality History, the national association of first class, was a national academic group established by people voluntarily engaged in research, teaching, publication on the history of Chinese nationality. Famous scholars including Weng Dujian, Bai Shouyi, Lhagpa Phuntshogs, Hao Shiyuan and Luo Xianyou have ever served as Chairman of CANH.
