On March 15th, exchange conference about consultation and evaluation project of Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ACDAC) (“Forming the Idea of Eco-Industrialization and Exploring Industrialization of Ecological Management of Desertification Areas in North China”) was held at Yue Hai Hotel in Yinchuan, capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The conference was jointly organized by Key Laboratory of Mechanics on Disaster and Environment in Western China in LZU (KLMDEWC) and Ningxia Key Laboratory of Intelligent Sensing for Desert Information (NKLISDI). Over 20 academicians including Zheng Xiaojing, leader of KLMDEWC, from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, Ningxia University, Lanzhou University, etc. Prof. Huang Ning, director of KLMDEWC conducted the meeting.
Prof. Xu Xing, member of Party Committee and vice-president of Ningxia University, made a speech at the opening ceremony and introduced the achievements made by Ningxia University on ecological management. Prof. Huang Ning of LZU on behalf of the project team introduced the members present and the project. Later, experts present lively discussed about consultation and evaluation project and put forward many suggestions.
Zheng Xiaojing made a summary speech and expressed her sincere thanks to each expert. She also said that the establishment of this project proved the urgency to ecological management of desertification in China, so we had to seize this opportunity to offer suggestions on the project.
