On the morning of April 13th, Stomatology Certification Reporting Conference was held at Lanzhou University. Prof. Zhou Xuedong, head of LZU’s assessment experts for oral medicine and director of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Oral Medicine of the Ministry of Education, Yan Chunhua, president of LZU, vice president Pan Baotian and some experts attended the conference.
President Yan said that LZU as a century-old school got everything done under the CPC and the State Council's guidance. At the same time, it cannot be separated from social concerns, the guidance of relevant departments and the support of its peers. He also claimed that in the new era, the university would arm itself with new concepts, new ideas, and new strategies to engage in new actions. It was hoped that during the process of certification, with the help of experts and peers, the information of medical personnel training and social service work of LZU, including undergraduate education in dentistry wouldbe reviewed and collected, thus improving the quality of medical education.
Prof. Zhou concluded that this certification would study and inspect LZU for its teaching conditions, teaching quality, teaching standards, and social services of undergraduate education, thereforesummarizing its rich experience in school mission, philosophy, thoughts and level. In addition, It wouldleverage its advantages of "Double First-rate" construction in talents, disciplines, etc. to promote the development of oral medical science.
