Lanzhou University wins 2nd prize in 9th National Medical Colleges Students’ Clinical Skills Competition

The final of the 9th National Medical College Students’ Clinical Skills Competition was held in Dalian Medical University from May 12th to 13th. The College of First Clinical Medicine, LZU, competed with other 42 medical colleges and universities through out the country. Through two-day tense competition, LZU’s delegation won the 2nd prize, representing the best result that LZU has achieved in this competition.

National Medical College Students’ Clinical Skills Competition, one of the ten colleges’ competitions organized by MOE, China, is designated to innovate the teaching system through practice, strengthen students’ basic clinical theory, knowledge and techniques, and the cultivation of their humanistic concern so as to improve medical students’ innovative and practical abilities and the spirit of teamwork.

The delegation of LZU gave their professional clinical skills into full play in the competition against other strong contestants in these two days’ fierce contest. Their rigorous attitudes and adept techniques gained credit from judges and other delegations. This praiseworthy result has fully reflected the achievements that the College of First Clinical Medicine gained in its practical teaching of clinical skills.
