Prof. Chen elected as editorial committee member of Journal of Clinical Epidemiology

On July 14th, Prof. Chen Yaolong from the Evidence-Based Medicine Institute of the School of Basic Medical Sciences, LZU was employed as a member of the editorial committee of Journal of Clinical Epidemiology (JCE) for three years.

First published in 1995, Journal of Clinical Epidemiology, becomes the leading journal in international clinical epidemiology and methodology. Besides, the Journal was included by SCI and SSCI simultaneously and its impact factor was 4.245 in 2017. According to the zone classification of Chinese Academy of Sciences, JCE was categorized as 2nd zone in the area of medicine, 1st zone in health care and service, 2nd zones in public health, environmental health, and occupational health. According to the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), JCE was categorized as 1st zone in health care and service, 1st zone in public health, environmental health, and occupational health. The Journal aims to promote the quality of clinical and patient-oriented health services research through the advancement and application of innovative methods. 

Members of JCE editorial board consist of the academic authority and authoritative scholars in the field of international evidence-based medicine, clinical epidemiology and methodology from 31 countries including America, Canada, Netherlands, Australia, and Belgium. Prof. Chen was the first Chinese scholar being elected. Moreover, he has been deputy editor of “Health and Quality of Life Outcomes” since 2016. This journal mainly publishes studies on life quality and evidence-based medicine, and its impact factor is 2.278 in 2018.
