On the morning of August 21st, Wu Zhaohua, class of 2017 from the School of Management, LZU, represented China’s high level martial arts’ team to race in the men’s daoshu and gunshu all-round competition at the 2018 Asian Games. He got the 1st prize for each competition and also won the gold medal with the total score of 19.52. This is the 3rd time that LZUers win the gold medal since Kan Wencong won the women’s Jianshu and Qiangshu all-round competition in the 16th Asian Games and the women’s changquan competition in the 17th Asian Games. Yuan Zhanting, LZU Secretary of the Party Committee and Pres. Yan Chunhua, on behalf of all the teachers and students of LZU, sent a congratulatory letter to him.
It was reported that the 2018 Asian Games was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 2018 Aug 18th to Sept 2nd. Referring to the name list of Chinese Sports Delegation in 2018 Asian Games that published on official website of the China’s General Administration of Sport, Wu was selected to took part in the Wushu competition, while Li Shaocheng participated in the judging as a Wushu technical official.
